When it came to their wedding, Kelly & Caleb's priorities were good food, fine wine and a fun time dancing! They wanted their celebration to feel like a fun dinner party with all their closest family and friends. Sounds like a pretty good recipe to me! A couple who are deeply rooted in their home city of Phoenix, Arizona, the incorporated elements of the city into the day from a wedding space in the heart of the arts district next to museums and galleries, to hiring a mobile pizza and Italian food truck from a local restaurant staple.

Captured beautifully by photographer DANIEL KIM, the florals by CARTE BLANCE FLORAL were a bold feature incorporating vibrant coral peonies. Stylist AYOFEMI CREATIVE STUDIO helped pull it all together and the result was a fabulously fun celebration.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: The proposal was on a Saturday; a couple weeks prior he had a friend to ask me to help them out at an art studio in Downtown Phoenix on the Saturday. A day before I dropped Caleb "off" at the airport as he told me he had a business trip to Utah. So I showed up to the art studio and was told to stand in a certain secluded spot with numbers projected against a wall. As I was standing there, Caleb walked out of the wood works and he started to recite a poem of our relationship and at the end he proposed! Both of our families then came out and we celebrated!

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: It was very important to me to go wedding dress shopping with my family whom all live in the South Bay Area of California. So I went back home and I was able to go wedding dress shopping with my mom, sister, aunts, and grandma in San Francisco. J.Crew had a wedding boutique in the city and found my dress very quickly. I knew I wanted to have a classic minimal dress that was affordable. As soon as I put on the dress I knew it was the one.

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: I had many favourite details but if I had to pick three, they would be our first look before the ceremony, dancing, and the time we had after the wedding.

WHAT ADVISE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? My advice would be to have fun. It's so easy to get caught up in the stress of pleasing others or feeling like we have to control every detail. But in reality it's just a fun, expensive, celebratory day. The days, months, and years after with your partner are what is important.

ANY DIY ELEMENTS? We were very lucky with having friends and family to help us with the wedding. My sister is an illustrator and designed our wedding invitations and signage at the wedding. Caleb's aunt gifted us with a wonderful wedding cake. We were also very mindful of our venue and their requirements on catering and alcohol. Because of our venue we were able to have quality food and alcohol within our budget.
