WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO BECOME A PHOTOGRAPHER? Growing up, my mom always had photos up around our house. I’ve always loved looking through photographs. When I got older, I seemed to be the one with a camera always in hand and something about weddings always drew me in – so here I am!

TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR PATH TO GET THERE. In high school, I took a film photography class – it was true love from there on out. I began working for a local photographer assisting with weddings, then became her second photographer. After a while, I felt comfortable photographing friend’s weddings and everything kind of took off from there!

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE? Light and Airy – Film Based – Emotion-Filled – Coastal. I love that light and bright, coastal vibes look, and I incorporate that feel into my images. I also look to bring emotion into photographs – those unplanned moments are some of my favourites!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WEDDINGS? I love that this is such a special day in a couple’s life. I especially love first looks or those first moments walking down the aisle. The anticipation of seeing your person for the first time is such a magical moment during weddings and knowing this is a new step in a big adventure for them!

CAN YOU RECALL YOUR FAVOURITE WEDDING EXPERIENCE? This is a tough one. I have so many experiences that I’ve wished I could bottle up at weddings and relive. In general I’ve been so fortunate that my couples have always treated me like family on their wedding days. I love that they are so happy, and their family/friends are so welcoming. I get to experience a day in their world and provide them with images that they can pass down for generations.

ASIDE FROM FAMILY & FRIENDS, THREE THINGS YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT? 1. My dog Killian. He’s 80lbs of pure love. 2. Music! I could definitely live without a TV but I don’t know what I would do without music. 3. Photos – my most prized possessions are the photos of my life.

WHERE WOULD WE FIND YOU ON A SUNDAY MORNING? Sunday mornings (actually, every morning, not just Sunday’s!) I go over to my grandmothers with my mom and start off my day by having coffee with them. Usually on the weekends, aunts, uncles, and cousins will join too! Then after that, I head home to spend time playing with Killian. Usually, Saturdays are wedding days, so I always make sure I hang out with him for a while whether we’re hiking, tossing a ball around, or just cuddled up on the couch.

HOW WOULD YOU SPEND YOUR IDEAL DAY OFF? At the beach with a good book in hand! Whenever I can, I always make time to spend at the beach, even if it’s just for an hour or so.
