Not only did photographer Natalie from VERA IN AUGUST capture all this beauty in the desert, she styled it AND did the florals. Too much talent if you ask me!! I love the fresh colours in this and of course the girls pretty braided do's by ALL TRESSED UP BLOWDRY AND BEAUTY BAR!!

Natalie says, Summer in the desert is like living in slow motion. Locals head out of town for a little less sun and a little more water, literally. The idea for a Desert Oasis inspired shoot came to me on a hike in the beautiful and expansive La Quinta Cove. It was a warm night on the hike and all I wanted to do was to take a dip in a big body of water! Off in the distance, nestled up against the mountain I saw a beautiful and thriving crop of palm trees. As an artist, photographer, and bride-to-be, I couldn't help but share this inspiration for fellow brides. Up against mountains so close you can touch them, I imagined a wedding bursting with the colors of water and nature. While most of the scene is neutral and white, the blues, turquoises, and greens stand out in their lush and healthy beauty. Imagine the warm breeze flowing against a bride's hair, dress, and bouquet. Imagine the tent, a white refuge in this landscape of neutrals. The Coachella Valley, or as locals so lovingly call it The Desert, is one of the best places to get married. Countless private estates, country clubs, expansive views, and warm weather year round make it a favorite destination wedding spot for many couples every year. While many look for lush greenery as a backdrop, who can argue with a perfect neutral palette to bring out a wedding of bright whites and pops of the colors of nature?
