Lindsay and James wanted to keep their wedding day romantic, classic, and soft - combining all the beauty that New England has to offer between the coastal vineyard setting and beautiful local florals.

Their day at JONATHAN EDWARDS WINERY was full of intense and adoring emotion. Happy tears seemed to shed from start to finish, especially during the bride's two first looks (with her father and soon-to-be husband). Feeling present and relaxed the day-of meant the world to the couple, and they did exactly that. Soaking in each moment of the getting ready process all the way until the SILVER ARROW BAND played the last song.

Being in the early Autumn along the Connecticut coast, the weather was perfectly pleasant. Cool, with a breeze, the trees having yet to turn. Lindsay wanted to transform the venue into a pastel garden party amongst the vines, and she did just that with the help of her wonderful florist, INDIGO BLOOMS STUDIO.

There were shades of pink throughout all the flowers, which blended beautiful with the bridesmaid's mismatched blue dresses. A favourite part for guests was the petal toss as the couple exited the ceremony, and a unique escort card display that greeted them into the reception.

Lindsay wore not one but two gorgeous gowns from THE WHITE DRESS BY THE SHORE and EVERTHINE BRIDAL, surprising James after the ceremony with a sleeker more modern look to dance the night away in.

The cherry atop a blissful day was the fact that their photographer, Rhode Island Wedding photographer COLLEEN ANNE LENNEHAN had become a true best friend to Lindsay after the two met at the engagement session. A wedding so special for not only the couple, but the vendors as well only added to the love and joy!

A huge thank you to Rhode Island Wedding photographer COLLEEN ANNE LENNEHAN for sharing this gorgeous wedding with us. Colleen's intrigue for photography began at a young age, and over the last twenty plus years it has blossomed into a true passion. She tells us, "I find it so important to document your legacy. I cherish any old family photos I can get my hands on and ultimately, I am driven by the fact that I can capture life’s biggest momentsThough my work is for those both near and far, I consistently photograph weddings along the East Coast. I am incredibly inspired by beauty in all forms; paintings, gardens, an antique diamond ring, a soft touch between soulmates. We are surrounded by it everywhere, especially during events celebrating love. You can see more of her portfolio here.
