I don't think I've told you about the FORAGE & FERN workshop that finished up over a week ago now. I sort of went underground for a while when it was over as I had so much work to catch up on and am still catching up on! I was lucky enough to spend a week in the Queenstown & Arrowtown area truly one of my favourite places in the world. The first few days were just with my husband celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary and it was wonderful. We treated ourselves to dinner at the incredible MATAKAURI LODGE, which was hands down the best dining experience we've had anywhere in the world! With sensational views and the most delicious five-course dinner I would highly recommend it for a special occasion.

The workshop itself was amazing!! It was held at a gorgeous house up on the Crown Range and had an incredible view back over the Wakatipu Basin. It was so inspiring to spend a week with such a creative bunch of people soaking up all the knowledge and forming new friendships! It was kind of like being back at school camp but WAY cooler! There are so many people to thank for all their input, assistance, advice, and vendors who supplied beautiful products they know who they are, but I'll be sharing more details over the coming weeks. I can't wait to show you the images! In the meantime we're kickstarting the week with a seaside shoot from Northern Scotland by Josephine from VINTAGE WEDDING LOVE BY GREENBROOK & CO. and NINA & WES PHOTOGRAPHY.

We love Scotland. There is something so fresh and light about the green grass, the crisp air, the sand and the sound of the North Sea waves crashing in, and yet it feels ancient, full of history and mystique, like right out of a classic novel perfect for any vintage loving heart!

We can never get enough of visiting that gorgeous place, so when we heard that NINA & WES PHOTOGRAPHY were coming to Europe last summer, and would spend a few days in Scotland we just knew we had to fly in and create some magic for them to capture. With the thistles, glass and those amazing sand dunes as our main inspiration, we designed and styled this soft and gentle inspiration shoot. Every detail was created with love, from the custom designed stationery, to the headpieces created by hand on the day of the shoot using lace accents we carefully stole off the wedding gown! The sweet ladies at the local Oxfam charity shop in Aberdeen were kind enough to rent us the glass wear for the day, and the floral arrangements were a mix between classic wedding flowers and foraged greens. We wanted it to be a marriage between rustic wilderness, organic textures, and lots of light, and oh my do Nina & Wes convey that so beautifully in their images AND we even caught a rainbow!!
