This gorgeous French Chateau wedding by HANKE ARKENBOUT that features in the current issue of the MAGAZINE, is my ideal of the perfect wedding! A relaxed affair at a stunning venue, with absolutely beautiful imagery that really captures the feeling of the day. Held at CHATEAU DE CAZENAC and styled by Dutch stylist NINA WEDDINGS it's one of those celebrations we wish we were a part of.

When Steven met Margreet at a mutual friend's party, it wasn't just love at first sight; it was the beginning of what can only be described as a modern day fairytale. A decade after they first met, after a whirlwind Parisian proposal beneath the Eiffel Tower, the Dutch couple began to plan their wedding, and where better to host it than in the country Margreet had said "yes", this time in a picturesque village in the Dordogne, and a charming, historical chateau. They filled it with greenery and blooms - centrepieces that looked like they had been picked fresh from the surrounding fields, wreaths, boutonnieres, and a charming bouquet. The theme was boho chic, and Margreet, a marketer, created a complete set of stationery to tie the whole look together. After a ceremony conducted by the bride's twin sister and best friend and a reception filled with laughter and love, they rode off into the sunset not on a white horse, but a Fiat 500... and they lived happily ever after.

"We wanted to get married in France; a weekend to celebrate our love with our close family and friends. We fell in love with Chateau de Cazenac in the Dordogne in France, an idyllic chateau overlooking the Dordogne river. We were looking for a place where our family and friends could be housed on-site, but did not want a formal, chic chateau. It needed to have character and history. Chateau de Cazenac couldn't have been more perfect for us - it turned out to be the ultimate fairytale retreat! I remember us sitting in front of the two beautiful trees, holding hands, listening to our song (Adele's 'Make you Feel My Love', played by our friends Elisa and Mark) with all our friends and family there. That was just such a special feeling."
