In search of a unique outdoor venue surrounded by nature, Vannia & Michael came across LAMB'S HILL; with its grand panoramic views of the Hudson river this intimate mountainside location was perfect for the couple and guaranteed them stunning images by New York wedding photographer TANYA ISAEVA.

HOW DID YOU MEET? Micheal and I met on the Coffee Meets Bagel dating app. Our first date was at the Bonnie restaurant in Astoria, NY.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Michael proposed to me on a beautiful beach during our trip to New Zealand in 2019.

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: I wanted a simple and elegant dress - I always say that there is elegance in simplicity. When trying on my ALEXANDRA GRECCO gown it felt perfect and it made me feel sexy while still comfortable.

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS? Our original wedding destination was to be in Mexico and would feature my favourite flower: bougainvilleas. I wanted to incorporate their colour, if not the flower, in our rescheduled wedding in Beacon NY, so I chose fuchsia and pink shaded flowers along with greenery highlights. The pop of colour in the canopy looked even more attractive against the lush green backdrop.

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: Our first dance (a waltz followed by salsa). Michael and I spent months practicing and it was nice to see everyone’s reactions to it.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Stay true to the spirit of your vision, but be flexible on the exact details. We had to postpone our wedding twice due to Covid... things happen and it’s easy to spiral. Don’t. The day will be wonderful.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? Hearing Michael’s vows and getting ready with my family/best friends in the morning.

WHAT ASPECT OF THE WEDDING WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU BOTH? We wanted to have fun and make sure everyone did as well.

ANY OTHER DETAILS THAT HELP TO TELL THE STORY OF YOUR DAY? We are a 'Covid wedding couple' - we had to postpone our wedding twice due to Covid and forgo our destination wedding in Mexico. I’m a Physician Associate working at a Hospital so I was very busy leading up to our wedding - luckily Michael was able to help coordinate with all our vendors to get everything ready in time for the big day.

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON: We went on a laid back trip to St. Lucia and relaxed on the beach.

A huge thank you to New York wedding photographer TANYA ISAEVA for sharing this beautiful New York wedding with us.
